PSA: if there was an album you heard a couple years ago and thought it was ok, listen to it again and you might love it.
That's what happened to me with this album. I cannot fathom why it didn't stick with me back then. Same thing happened with Decoherence's Unitarity for that matter. Matten

Chaos Echoes have definitely upped the overall intensity of their puzzling combination of death, black and doom metal. Riffs oozing of influence from all three snake their way around each other in confounding yet strangely hypnotizing combinations

During a long period of time, I couldnt listen to anything else thanThrobbing Gristle, PTV then a long Coil period. Swans managed to move from one obsession to another... And I discovered Anna von Hausswolff (I know, she played with the Swans, I wasn't too far from home!)
Nevertheless, I rarely am that mesmerised by a song, its beauty, its strength, its dark corners.
The strength of both versions was enough to burn its mark in my heart and soul. uberwenig
